Reebok rolls out expansion plan for its “Classics” retail format

Reebok, the global player in sportswear, holding 51% of the sports market in India plans to expand its “Classics” format.

Reebok, the global player in sportswear, holding 51% of the sports market in India plans to expand its “Classics” format. They are planning to start 55 new “Classics” stores by March 2009. "We will focus on retail expansion and building the brand over the next few years with the objective of delighting the consumer and providing him easy access to the brand", revealed Subhinder Singh Prem, Managing Director, Reebok India. The target group of consumer for this Reebok “Classics” outlet would be 18 years of age and onward, who has a strong tendency towards fashion, fitness, sports, etc. Reebok is operating its stores in the key cities of NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Pune. The brand, under its “Classics” format will include `edgy` and `stylish` collections from the domain of Reebok International. The collection would include The Scarlett Johannsons Hearts collection, DGK skate, NFL and the Evolution range. Apart from these international assortment, Reebok is also planning to introduce Indian origin collections like the Dance, which is being promoted by Bipasha Basu; Dhoni 7 collection, designed with inputs from MS Dhoni himself; and Fish Fry for Reebok designed by Manish Arora. The high-end lifestyle and fashion collections will be made available only in Reebok Classics stores.
