Espirit may soon open bricks and mortar stores in India

Hong Kong- based fashion brand, Espirit is planning to make a comeback in the Indian market. It is looking for mall space and may soon open retail stores in the country.

Esprit had entered India in 2005 in a distribution partnership with Aditya Birla Group. However, weak sales forced Espirit retail to exit India in 2013. 

Esprit is also in talks with online fashion retailer Myntra to open Esprit-branded physical store in the country. Myntra already sells Esprit products online through an exclusive deal signed with the fashion brand late last year. 

Esprit has more than 700 retail stores and 6000 points of sale in 40 countries.
