The demand for cow dung cakes is increasing through e-ecommerce portals.

GAU Farm, an organic dairy farm in Kota, has been selling cow dung cakes online which is getting a good response from buyers from different parts of the country.

The livestock farm, spread over 40 acres of land, is owned by three young entrepreneurs, Gagandeep Singh, Amanpreet Singh and Uttamjyot Singh.

The cow dung cakes are being sold as a set of dozen for Rs 120 through e-commerce portals. The farm has an average sale of 15 consignments per week.

Amanpreet Singh, Director, GAU Farm, said, "We have been selling cow dung cakes for nearly three months and the sale is increasing.”

The farm has also converted animal waste into electricity by establishing a bio gas plant. It is using solar power as well as electricity generated through the plant.

The entrepreneurs will be attending the forthcoming Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet scheduled from May 24-26 at Kota, organised by the state government, to display their work and innovations in the field of agriculture.
