Kids’ clothing brand 5.10.15 mulling India entry

In an exclusive conversation with Ewelina Pawelec, Export Manager, Komex SA (brand 5.10.15) highlights brand expansion in Indian market.

Kids’ clothing brand 5.10.15 is owned by Komex Company which is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. It is one of the largest retail chains of Poland selling products for children between the age group of 0-12. The company has been present on the market for more than 20 years and is one of the most recognizable children clothing brands.

Few years back the brand has launched an international version of its online store, which is available at 51015kids.eu. As a result, the shop is now available for customers from the entire European Union. Besides the online shop at www.51015kids.eu, the company owns and operates traditional sales channels. Currently, the company runs about 220 shops. Recently, indianretailer.com had caught-up with Ewelina Pawelec at Master Franchise Show 2017. Following are excerpts..

Kindly shed light on international presence of the brand?

5.10.15 brand is one of the largest retail chains in Poland. At present it owns over 220 brick-and-mortar stores in 119 cities selling clothes and accessories for kids. We have developed our brand very strongly.

How you plan to expand the brand in Indian market?

Now we are looking to expand the brand to Indian market. We are mulling Indian expansion via master franchise or unit franchise. We are every open and flexible right now as we want to learn about Indian market.

What would be the cost of franchise?

Initial, required capital for master franchise will be 25,000 euros including franchise fee. The amount also includes furniture and other equipments on the store because we have proven business concept. We want to open the shop under our logo with our hanger, mannequins poster, etc.

What kind of growth aspect the brand is mulling for Indian market?

We are hopeful to open our first Indian shop shortly. Basically, if we can find one master franchise then we can open many stores. India is very big market, offcourse, we are interested in larger cities. We are hopeful to have business  worth three million dollors business over next few years in Indian market.
