We are focused on further inflecting the alternate stays revolution. This, combined with our in-built service DNA, makes us different than other portals.

 

How do you leverage technology in your business?

As an eCommerce company, technology is the centre of our business. We focus on using cutting edge technology combined with a human touch to deliver the best possible stay booking experience to all our customers. A case in point is our proprietary bahesian algorithm which forecasts inventory available across our entire stay portfolio.

We are on track for a 75 Cr runrate in terms of Gross Room Night value for this financial year.

The concierge feature is the unique service element behind Stayzilla - it is currently a way for us to meet any special needs of customers, and ensure a smooth experience beginning from the process of booking through checking out. It also helps us keep our ears to the ground with regard to our industry. In the future, we see the concierge evolving further with more mobile penetration and growing needs.

 

What are your future plans?

We intend to have a portfolio of 50000+ stays in 8000+ towns by the end of the year, inflect the alternate stay market in India and continue to grow further at a rapid pace.

We have a dedicated partnerships team that is focused on growing our stay portfolio across regions. We have a stringent due diligence process we follow before listing a property on Stayzilla.

 

How do you see the travel industry changing in the coming years?

We firmly believe there's going to be a paradigm shift in terms of acceptance of alternate stay options in India. We foresee the alternate stay market growing exponentially over the next 10 years and aim to be at the forefront of this revolution.

 

The pricing in the travel industry is very dynamic and keeps changing. What do you have to say about that? Who decides on the discounts?

At Stayzilla, our focus is on providing our customers with the best possible stays at the best price possible, so we focus on liaising with stay owners in such a way so as to enable this.
