Pokémon hits retail shelves across India

With its second innings on Hungama TV started in May 2014, Pokémon has become talk of the town not only on screen, but also on retail shelves. As a part of the retail strategy devised by Dream Theatre which manages and syndicates Pokémon in India and South Asia, Pokémon’s Indian licensees have launched a wide range of products and collections for Spring Summer 2016.

As a part of the Spring Summer Pokémon collection, more than 250 Pokémon products will be available across stores in India and all leading online market places. The range boasts of Back-to-School which includes School Bags, Pencil Cases, Lunch Boxes, and Stationery. It also has a cool collection cross Kids Apparel, Swing Scooters and a line of Camlin’s Pokémon Products comprising sketch pens, mechanical pencils and oil pastels.

In addition, grown up fans of Pokémon can lay their hands on some really cool Pokémon phone covers very soon!

Commenting on the new Pokémon Collections, Masami Tanaka, Corporate Officer,The Pokémon Company said, “India is a focus market for us and we are pleased with the upsurge of brand Pokémon in India. It’s important for both the viewership and the merchandising business to intersect and grow together. We are now seeing that happen in India.”

This Pokémon Spring Summer collection is available across retail and standalone stores pan-India including Shoppers Stop and Pantaloons, offering products for kids to use at home, play and at school. The collection is also available on all leading online retail portals including Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Paytm, Jabong, FirstCry and ShopClues.

With price points as attractive as Camlin Pokémon Products which start at  INR 15  and go upto INR 30/-, Pokémon games and puzzles starting INR 40/- onwards, school supplies, bags, and scooters price starting onwards INR 149/-, INR 899/- and INR 1,599/- respectively and apparel starting INR 299/- onwards, there is something for every Pokémon fan.
