Reliance Retail unveils first hyper market at Hyderabad

Reliance Retail, the retail arm of Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) with a turnover of Rs.139,269 crore (US$ 34.7 billion), has unveiled its second hypermarket ‘Reliance Mart’ at Tolichowki in Andhra Pradesh. The first outlet of this retail format was launched in Tirupati early this year. Spreading over an area of 50,000 sq. ft., the outlet will stock a range of 11,000 products in different segments including fresh produce, books and music, gifts and toys, footwear and eyewear. Commenting on the launch of this new format, Raghu Pillai, President and CEO - Operations and Strategy, Reliance Retail, said “The launch of Reliance Mart at Hyderabad will provide an international shopping experience to all our customers at unmatched affordability, guaranteed quality and choice of products and services. The Reliance Mart marks another milestone in our effort to unleash the retail revolution in India”. RIL is the first and only private sector company from India to feature in the Fortune Global 500 list of `World`s Largest Corporations` and ranks amongst the world`s Top 200 companies in terms of profits
