Well known US cosmetic brand Estée Lauder has launched its second store in Bangalore’s premier luxury mall, The Collection, at UB City. The cosmetic brand is planning to open more stores in cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune. Estée Lauder has launched its first freestanding store in Mumbai a couple of months back. The brand was founded in1946 by Estée Lauder who strongly believed that “all women can be beautiful”. This brand has over 1800 locations worldwide with presence in 135 territories. The brand is known for its skin care products; make up kits, fragrance and hair care products. Estée Lauder, Clinique and M•A•C (two brands are already present in India), Aramis, Prescriptives, Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan, Aveda and Coach are some famous cosmetics brands under the umbrella of Estée Lauder. The brand is endorsed by the celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Elizabeth Hurley. Speaking on the brands presence in India and the response of the Indian customers, Sonia Michon, Vice-President, Estée Lauder, says, “Estée Lauder is a well-known brand for many Indian women. We are confident that the timing is right to bring Estée Lauder to India and that the brand will be a huge success”. “Over the next six months, Estée Lauder is also scheduled to launch two freestanding stores in Delhi, one in Promenade and one in Courtyard Malls”, she adds. Over the next three years, Estée Lauder plans to open 20 locations and expand into cities including Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata.
